It's like gambling to find makeup that really delivers. Eyeshadow palettes that offer shadow but dissipate by noon, and glosses that shine in the tube but end up sticky, dry, or vanished after your initial cup of coffee. I'm familiar with the problem. I've sampled more formulas than I can shake a stick at, and few actually hold up to their claims.
That’s why I put Veive’s Muse Eyeshadow Palette and Trinket Tin Lip Dew Duo to the test. Would the palette really give buildable, all-day-long coverage? Would the Lip Dew be shiny and moisturizing without that dreaded stick? I used them on all-day workdays, busy lunches, and even nights out to find out if they get a spot in your beauty bag. Here’s everything you need to know.
The Muse Eyeshadow Palette Review

Muse Palette ($59) is Veive’s ode to modern romance, and confess, it shows in the shade curation. Ten shades that transition from nude to deep jewel tones, with shimmers that were apparently developed for golden-hour selfies.
The first I swatched was Peony, a peachy-pink shade. Most of the times with these types of shades, they either end up being chalky or just do not show at all, but I was impressed with Peony. It applied smoothly, was even, and really did deliver that type of subtle base that made all other products layer better. It was no filler shade, either it primed.
And then I whip out Finery, the crushed gold shimmer. Let me tell you, I didn't think that was going to give that much return with one swipe. It’s that type of gold that doesn't just sit flat on your eyelid, it catches light and still looks luminous after blending out. Do you ever get those golds that are stunning in pan but disappear with just a touch? This is not that.
In my everyday look, I was reaching for Beau time and time again, a pink-brown that’s just a breeze to work with it pretty much does it for you. It’s that one shade you can throw in your crease when you can't do a whole eye look, but you want to look put together.
For my drama-filled days, I played with Merlot, a deep burgundy, and Velvet, a matte purple. Both of these two instantly added depth to my look without all that layering of product. A touch of blending and I'd get that sizzling, smoky depth that takes three or four shades to produce.
But that was actually where it made me a believer: wear time. I applied at 8 a.m., with special plans of skipping primer on one eye to see how it would hold up. Both eyes still looked good at 6 p.m. The shimmer side that I didn't primer was a teensy bit less sharp, but it didn't crease or fade to nothingness, something that doesn't commonly occur with me. The mattes endured all day wear. That's not just a good palette, it's a reliable one.
The Trinket Tin Review: Lip Dew in Original + Strawb

Let's talk about lips, however, because that Trinket Tin ($50, down from $37) deserves its own section. It looks initially more like a trinket than like a product from a makeup line. The tin feels heavy and rich, the sort of product you'd not mind changing to hold store jewelry or tiny trinkets. It comes with two of the product line's Lip Dew products in two different versions: Original, a golden multi-dimensional gloss, and Strawb, a new strawberry red specifically made for it.
Here’s the catch, I’m never impressed that quickly with glosses. They run sticky, heavy, or dry up before you get to finish your coffee. But Veive’s Lip Dew feels like something different. With Raspberry Seed Oil Extract, Vitamin E, and Camellia Oil among its list of ingredients, it feels like a treatment rather than a gloss. It provides you with that shine, but your lips actually feel relaxed and moisturized all at once.
I wore Original over a matte nude lipstick to a lunch date, and my lips still shone and stayed hydrated after three hours without that dry, patchy texture most glosses leave behind. I also wore Strawb over bare lips for an evening out. The color added just enough juicy hue—noticeable enough to light up my face, but subtle enough that I didn't look like I'd made a full-coverage statement with lipstick. It’s that natural, “just enough” vibe that’s perfection for every day glam.
And the best? Texture. It’s light, smooth, and completely non-sticky. I was able to drink water, talk, even laugh without my hair sticking to my mouth every time a gust of wind would come by—which, let’s be honest, is most oftentimes kiss of death for most glosses.
Final Thoughts
So, trust me when I say that Veive isn’t just selling you pretty packaging, but they’re selling you performance.
The eyeshadow palette delivers on pigment, blendability, and staying power. Whether you’re into soft daytime looks or smoky evening glam, there’s versatility in every shade.
Their lip duo is one of those rare lip products that strikes the perfect balance between beauty and care. It hydrates like a lip oil, shines like a gloss, and layers beautifully.
Would I recommend them? Yes—if you’re someone who wants your makeup to actually work while still feeling like you’re treating yourself. Are they worth the price tag? Considering the quality, formula, and collectable feel—absolutely.
