Not sure when slim fit bottoms became a default for me. Maybe somewhere between trying to look presentable and still feeling like myself. I just reach for them without thinking. They're easy. You can wear them with anything and kind of disappear into your day. Not stiff. Not loud. Just… right.
So when I tried a few styles from Deur (DUER, technically), they ended up staying in rotation. Not because they’re trendy. They just work. Comfort, decent structure, pieces you can wear again and again without needing to think about them too much.
I didn’t expect to notice the difference, honestly. But after a week or two of rotating these through daily life—work, errands, downtime—it was kind of obvious. They’re just easier.
1. The Black Skinnies

These are the Performance Denim High Rise Skinny. Black. Clean. Stretchy enough that you don’t notice them all day. I’ve worn them for hours—grocery runs, sitting in traffic, dinners where I probably should’ve dressed up more—and they still felt fine.
They sit high but don’t squeeze at the waist, which I really appreciate. They actually hit right at the ankle—surprisingly rare, even when that’s what the tag says. I also noticed they have something stitched into the inner thigh area? Gusset maybe? Whatever’s going on there, nothing pulls—even when you fold up on the couch.
They hold their shape, even after a couple of wears—which isn’t always the case with stretchy denim. That’s kind of rare for jeans with this much give. You can get away with wearing them a few days in a row and not feel like they’ve lost their shape. I threw them in a weekend bag and didn’t even pack a backup pair.
2. Structured Joggers

Didn’t think I’d like these as much. They go by Live Free High Rise Jogger, but honestly, they wear more like dressed-up joggers than anything sporty. Still soft, though. Lightweight. Kind of like dress pants pretending to be sweatpants.
There’s an elastic band inside the waist, but you can’t see it. Zip fly makes them feel more like pants. I wore them on a weekend away—walked in them, sat in them, got coffee, threw on a jacket over a tee.
They held up. Didn’t wrinkle much, didn’t get that saggy thing some joggers do.
They breathe better than I expected. Might be the lyocell? Not totally sure, but they stayed comfortable even when it got warm out. I’ve started keeping them on a chair in my room—my “lazy but pulled together” pants. You know the ones.
3. Easy Everyday Pant

These are kind of the in-between. No Sweat Everyday Pant in Laurel. It’s a soft green, but acts like a neutral. Works with white, grey, navy. I wore them with a striped blouse one day and a hoodie the next. Felt fine both times.
They’re loose, but not too loose. Just enough room without feeling sloppy. Cropped above the ankle. Ribbed waistband with a drawstring. I went a size down, and honestly, it worked out better than expected.
They still have a relaxed fit, but they don’t sag anywhere.
Great for those days when denim just feels like too much of an ask. Honestly, I wore them to work one day and didn’t change out of them until bedtime. That’s not something I say often about real pants.
4. Cold-Weather Jeans

These surprised me. The Tech Fleece Denim Girlfriend jeans in that Washed Black/Grey shade caught me off guard—in a good way. When I read fleece-lined, I pictured heavy and bulky. These aren’t that.
They look like regular jeans, but they feel warmer. It sort of feels like the warmth is built right into the denim—no bulk, just cozy.
They’re looser than the skinnies—more relaxed through the hip and leg—but still flattering. I’d call them casual, but not slouchy. Good for winter walks or just running out when it’s chilly and you don’t want to wear leggings again.
They also have some kind of water-repellent finish. I didn’t even realize until I walked through a drizzle and my legs stayed dry. One of those things that doesn’t sound necessary until it works. I’ve worn them with sneakers and boots—both looked fine. You can just throw them on without fussing over what goes with what.
Why I Keep Wearing Them
They’re not flashy. No dramatic branding or trendy silhouettes. But the fit’s good. The materials feel considered. Nothing digs in or stretches out weird. You can wear them a bunch of different ways without thinking too hard.
They also come in more than one inseam, which makes life easier if you're not built for “standard” pant lengths. I didn’t need to hem anything, and that rarely happens. That alone makes me want to re-buy them in other colors.
What I really appreciate is how low-effort they are. They just do their job. You put them on, feel comfortable, look fine, and go. No fuss. And for me, that’s usually what I end up reaching for most. When a piece of clothing makes your day smoother without needing attention—that’s worth holding onto.
